The award for Best Interior Commercial Restoration goes to Kelley Painting Services of Florida. As one of the oldest homes in Lake County FL, the Mote Morris House was built in 1892. It has been a staple of the community and has housed the Leesburg Chamber of Commerce for almost 2 years prior and a historic monument for generations. However, it caught on fire and was almost 70% damaged.
Kelley Painting completed the interior fire damage restoration by applying coatings that encapsulated the charred wood. They washed every window and every piece of wainscoting that wasn't completely charred with a cleaning solution just harsh enough to clean and restore the beauty of the wood that could be saved. The project lasted from February 2019- May 2021.
