The award for Craftsman of the Year goes to Alex St. Germain of Nick Slavik Painting & Restoration. Alex came in with no trades experience, but from the start he was happy, optimistic and a go-getter. He picked up the trade quickly, took amazing care of clients and started training others. He was given progressively more difficult projects - he approached every challenge without any limiting beliefs. In the past 3 years, he has taken difficult projects into under budget, manageable ones - including many massive Victorian restorations.
